BSL was founded in Gandhidham — the heart of India's maritime cargo corridor — and has grown from a sole proprietorship into a multi-city LLP with global accreditations and international reach.

1995

Founded as Beacon Marine Surveyors

Established as a sole proprietorship in Gandhidham, Kutch. From day one, our mission was precise surveying with absolute independence and unwavering integrity — qualities that have defined BSL ever since.

2015

Restructured as Beacon Surveyors LLP

Two decades of trust earned the firm its restructuring as a Limited Liability Partnership. With expanded capacity and a broader team of certified specialists, BSL grew to every major Indian port and opened a regional office in Navi Mumbai.

We do not accept work where a conflict of interest might arise. Every surveyor, Port Captain and inspector acts with honesty, integrity and fairness — protecting your commercial interests, not our own. This principle is non-negotiable.

43+ years of industry experience including 15+ years shore-based in Marine Asset Management, Inspections, Surveying, Marine Insurance, Ship Building and Marine HR. Global expertise with P&I Clubs, Underwriters, Correspondents, Ship Owners, Operators and Offshore sector.

Sailed on a variety of vessels and involved in major casualties on behalf of P&I, H&M and salvage interests. Extensive experience in hull and cargo damage assessments and marine investigations.

Marine Engineer & Naval Architect with sailing background, experienced in Port Captaincy for heavy lift and project cargo including windmill components, steel coils and pipes. Actively involved in Ship, Marine & Cargo surveying, Flag State Inspection, Class & Statutory surveys.
